The Department of Special Programs is here to serve students with exceptionalities in the Lebanon R-III School District. We help identify students with under Section 504, IDEA, and those that are Gifted and Talented. As students are identified we implement education and services to provide a free and appropriate public education.
Meet the Special Programs Director
Dr. Nick Cotta is the Executive Director of Special Programs for the Lebanon R-3 School District. In his tenure, Dr. Cotta has been a special education teacher, process coordinator, and assistant director for special programs. He obtained both a degree in Psychology and post-baccalaureate teacher certification from California State University in Fresno. Dr. Cotta went on to obtain a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. He achieved a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from William Woods University.
