Public Participation at Meetings

Public Participation at School Board Meetings

In an effort to provide open communication with the patrons of the district, the Board of Education sets aside a portion of its monthly business meeting for public participation. Anyone wishing to share ideas or opinions with the Board would be recognized during this time. Speaking time during public participation is limited to five (5) minutes per person with a maximum number of speakers on a given topic limited to three (3). Completion of a Request for Public Participation card is required prior to the board meeting for those wishing to address the board. Cards are available upon request through the Superintendent's office or at a board meeting.
