Lebanon R-3 Recognized for "Distinction in Performance" in 2013!

Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA) recognized Lebanon R-III School District for Distinction in Performance for Improved Achievement through the Missouri School Improvement Program for the school year 2012-2013. The award was presented March 25 at a celebration banquet hosted by the College of Education at Missouri State University and the MASA.

The District earned the title of "Distinction in Performance" based on 14 standards on its Annual Performance Report. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) no long awards this accomplishment due to the transition form MSIP 4 to MSIP 5. However, MASA uses the same guidelines previously used by DESE to recognize the achievement.

MASA Executive Director, Roger Kurtz describes the Distinction in Performance award as "a testament to the dedication and hard work of the staff, board, and community in serving and educating the students of the district. It is comparable to winning a state championship and should be acknowledged as such."
