Mrs. Fowler's Kindergarten
October Newsletter

We begin the month of October by observing Fire Safety Week.  The firefighters from the Lebanon Fire Department come to teach us about what to do in case of a fire.  Smokey Bear comes from the MO Department of Conservation to teach us about preventing forest fires.

We enjoy learning about Night and Nocturnal Animals this month as well.  Our studies include owls, snakes, bats, spiders, pumpkins, and more.  October is a great month for these themes because Halloween is just around the corner!

We have testing for First Quarter Grade cards this month.  We have Parent/Teacher Conferences scheduled for the beginning of November.  I know everyone is looking forward to learning about the accomplishments each child has made since the beginning of Kindergarten!

We will have a fun-filled Halloween Party and Parade on Halloween Day!  Please try to make plans to attend this fun event with your child's class.  Our room mothers and mother helpers have been working very hard to make this a special and very memorable event for all the children in our class!
